Cameron Peace

Washington State University

Cameron Peace is a scientist and professor with Washington State University and a leader and founder of the Washington Tree Fruit Genotyping Laboratory in Pullman, WA. His academic areas of interest include DNA-informed breeding for tree fruit. He is co-project director for $14.4 M Specialty Crop Research Initiative (SCRI) project RosBREED: Enabling Marker-Assisted Breeding in Rosaceae; team leader for the Marker-Assisted Breeding Pipeline Implementation program; and a key member of WSU’s Breeding Information Management System, Pedigree-Based Analysis, Genomics, Genotyping, and Extension Teams. He holds a Ph.D. in Horticultural Genetics and Bachelor of Horticultural Science from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.
