Principal Weed Puller at Hem and Holler Orchard; NAFEX Secretary and Programs Chair
Leslie Wade is a home orchardist growing heirloom and cider apples in the Blue Ridge Mountains of north Georgia. Leslie is a retired communications professional and currently serves as Secretary on the board of the North American Fruit Explorers (NAFEX) and as Program Chair. As Program Chair, she oversees the creation of NAFEX’s monthly Interest Group Meetups, Regional Excursions and Virtual Conferences.
Leslie and her husband, Ed Campbell, are passionate about growing and preserving old Southern apples including regional cultivars, crabapples and seedlings at their home-scale Hem and Holler Orchard, located in Ellijay, Georgia. She has three badly-behaved terriers, Kibby, Ellie and Huckleberry. She is a member of the Georgia Native Plant Society, Georgia Audubon, Georgia Botanical Society and the Towns-Union Master Gardener Association.
